Coffee with Mandela Fellows

Each year, Drake University hosts 25 young Mandela Washington Fellowship business leaders from nations in sub-Saharan African for six weeks of engagement with the greater Des Moines community. The Fellows are interested in learning how grants contribute to the success of community – many of them working on grants for their own nonprofits. One important networking opportunity is that the Fellows meet with members of our Central Iowa Grants Professional Association.

The engagement is great and inspiring for them and you as a GPA member will meet some great people doing great things in Africa. You will enjoy their energy! We invite you to meet with the Fellows at the Drake Campus, Olmsted Center, Starbucks Coffee Shop on the main floor on Friday, July 12th.

The time window is 1:00 – 2:30pm. This is an informal coffee meeting to talk with great people doing great work on both sides. Hope to see you there!
